About Us

Dr. Teri Stokes is an internationally recognized expert in the field of computer validation. She has published three books on the topic, numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, and is an invited speaker at industry symposia around the world. As Founder and Director of GXP International, Dr. Stokes works with clients on a global basis and has delivered many successful engagements in Europe, North America, and Asia since establishing the company in March 1996.

Dr. Stokes began her professional career with 11 years working as a Medical Technologist in various university, hospital, and central medical laboratories in the greater Boston area. Her transition to the world of computers came from troubleshooting the interface between laboratory work and the data reporting of a large laboratory information management system processing results from 2000 patients per day. She has remained an ambassador between system users and their IT and software suppliers ever since.

From the laboratory, Dr. Stokes joined Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) for a 16 year career focused on computer solutions for Life Science industries. Her last five years at DEC (1990-95) were based in Basel, Switzerland where she developed a computer validation consulting practice in support of DEC’s pharmaceutical customers across Europe and in Japan. Since founding GXP International in 1996, Dr. Teri Stokes has focused on corporate policy and a quality management system practice to support this.
